Each year, the UBC Department of Orthopaedics recognizes the incredible research by our trainees at our annual Orthopaedic Research Day event. This year’s event was held at the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre at Vancouver General Hospital. We are excited to announce the winners in Resident Research, Clinical Fellow Research, and Graduate Student Research.

Meet Jacki Lung! She is an HR Assistant with the UBC Department of Orthopaedics. Among other things, you’ll find Jacki supporting and coordinating clinical faculty appointments, reappointments, and promotions for new and existing clinical faculty members.

SpiNepal Awarded International Development, Aid and Collaboration (IDAC) Grant
Spinal Cord Injury Collaboration – Nepal (SpiNepal) was awarded a three-year International Development, Aid and Collaboration (IDAC) Grant from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – RCPS(C) totalling CAD90,000 for its project: A Physical Medicine Residency by, in and for Nepal. Ortho Update 2022: Innovations in Orthopaedics
UBC Orthopaedics and BCOA are hosing the annual Orthopaedic Update! Ortho Update 2022 is being held May 5 – 6 at the Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue with virtual access available for remote attendees. This year’s theme—Innovations in Orthopaedics—features sessions on new and emerging technologies, novel surgical techniques, accelerated recovery pathways, and other ‘hot-topics’ in orthopaedics.
