Local to Global
Together we can make a difference
UBC Global Orthopaedics (UBC GO) is an initiative within the Department of Orthopaedics with a mandate to facilitate activities that improve orthopaedic care and outcomes in resource challenged communities all around the globe.
Our UBC Orthopaedics faculty members have rich skills in teaching and treating MSK pathology. Many have the desire to assist in reducing the burden of musculoskeletal disability beyond BC through building capacity, provision of clinical care, and pursuing research in areas of need. Embracing UBC’s view that universities are global actors, the Department of Orthopaedics seeks to enhance the impact of our clinical and scholarly activities to help build a more just, sustainable, resilient, and thriving world.
