

Each year, the UBC Department of Orthopaedics recognizes the incredible research by our trainees at our annual Orthopaedic Research Day event. This year’s event was held at BC Children’s Hospital on May 7, 2025 and was hosted by Dr. Fay Leung, UBC Orthopaedics Residency Program Director, and Dr. Michael Bond, UBC Orthopaedics Clinical Instructor.
This year’s review panel included two accomplished orthopaedic professionals:
- Ruby Grewal, MD, MSc, FRCSC. Professor, Hand and Upper Limb Centre, Schulich Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.
- Gerard Slobogean, MD, MPH, FRCSC. Associate Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, University of Maryland School of Medicine R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
