LIMB-Q Kids, a novel patient-reported outcome measure (PROM), designed by researchers from the University of British Columbia and McMaster University specifically for children and adolescents with lower limb differences, has completed international field testing and is now officially launched.

UBC researchers secure CIHR Project Grant to advance pediatric ACL rehabilitation with remote technology

A team of UBC researchers has secured a CIHR Project Grant to develop technology for tracking ACL injury recovery in children, advancing pediatric orthopaedic care. This interdisciplinary effort brings together researchers Dr. Tim Bhatnagar and Dr. Lise Leveille from The Motion Lab at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCHRI) and the UBC Department of Orthopaedics and Dr. Calvin Kuo from the Centre for Aging SMART and the UBC School of Biomedical Engineering.

Dr. Jackson Robinson leads review comparing weight-bearing monitoring devices in lower extremity fractures

A new study led by Dr. Jackson Robinson examined the effectiveness of various non-invasive devices used to measure weight-bearing following lower extremity fractures. With funding from the UBC Department of Orthopaedics 2023 Summer Student Research Grant, Dr. Robinson collaborated with Dr. Stockton and orthopaedic resident Dr. Alice Wang, alongside UBC librarians, Aubrey Geyer and Kristina McDavid.
