Dr. H. Michael Lemke has been providing Orthopedic surgical assists for the last 35 years, the first 15 at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Athletic Injuries and the last 20 at RCH in Trauma. Since 2004 Dr. Lemke has been coordinating the Orthopedic Trauma Service at RCH which involves setting the daily slates and managing the patient booking and transfers in for surgery. It also involves coordinating patients getting seen by the Preoperative Medicine and Anesthesia consults services. Michael tracks all the operative cases in a database that allows us to do QI and research projects.

Dr. Lemke is the site lead (DSSL) for the medical students and residents that come to RCH which involves organizing their rotations, call schedules, and evaluations and attending relevant meetings for UBC.
