Interested in expanding your knowledge and skills? The UBC Department of Orthopaedics serves a provincial need for continuing professional development in the field of orthopaedics. Current programs include the annual Orthopaedic Update, the annual Orthopaedic Research Day, and Grand Rounds.


Grand Rounds


UBC Department of Orthopaedics Grand Rounds offer a range of clinically relevant, educational topics for a generalized audience of trainees and faculty members. Grand Rounds are held on Wednesdays from 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM PST.

Note: UBC Orthopaedics Grand Rounds are taking a summer break and will resume on September 3, 2025.

Bone Break Podcast


Mastering the principles of Orthopaedic Surgery, one break at a time!

The Bone Break podcast is an innovative educational resource designed by Canadian Orthopaedic Surgery residents and medical students. The podcast stands as a cornerstone for medical students aiming to excel in their orthopaedic rotations by distilling complex principles into easy-to-understand, high-yield concepts.
