ARTHROSCOPY DIVISION HEAD

The surgical scope of the Division of Arthroscopy encompasses Arthroscopy to Arthroplasty of the shoulder and elbow.

The Division has been in place for 15 years. The original concept of hospital-based divisions initially encompassed the teaching hospitals in Vancouver, including UBC Hospital, Vancouver General Hospital, St. Paul’s, Hospital and Royal Columbian Hospital. With an expansion of services and significant innovation, the Division also has faculty members in the Island Medical Program, the Northern Medical Program, and the Southern Medical Program. Arthroscopic reconstruction surgery of the hip and knee are also a mainstay. Patients are managed province wide from primary surgery through tertiary referral intake clinics. The Division of Arthroscopy remains a proud group of committed surgeons whose main goal is to elevate our orthopaedic sub-specialty through excellence and innovation in health care.
