UBC Orthopaedics Grand Rounds are weekly academic sessions bringing together faculty, trainees, and health professionals to share knowledge, discuss complex cases, and explore advances in orthopaedic care and research.
Grand Rounds feature local and visiting experts presenting on clinical innovations, surgical techniques, and emerging research. Sessions are open to all members of the UBC Orthopaedics community and allied fields, with hybrid and virtual attendance options available.
Who Can Attend:
- Faculty, staff, and trainees in orthopaedics (residents, fellows, clinical faculty) are core participants.
- Allied health professionals, researchers, and learners with interests in musculoskeletal science, surgery, biomechanics, or rehabilitation are welcome to join.
- Prospective applicants and external guests: On occasion, UBC Orthopaedics opens Grand Rounds to external attendees (e.g., prospective residents) with advance registration, offering insight into the department’s academic environment and opportunities to meet the faculty.
There is no strict requirement that attendees be orthopaedic surgeons; the sessions are designed to be broadly educational and interdisciplinary where relevant.
This page features our upcoming Grand Rounds schedule, including speaker names, talk titles, dates, times, and locations. Each session entry links to a dedicated page with speaker bios, photos, and presentation details. The goal is to make it easy for faculty, trainees, and guests to stay informed and engaged with our weekly academic program.
