Dr. Bob McCormack was honoured with a 2021 Medal of Service Award at the 2022 Annual Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) Meeting in Quebec City. The award recognizes individuals within CASEM who have made exceptional and outstanding contributions to the advancement of sport and exercise medicine in Canada.

The Canadian Football League (CFL) has honoured Dr. Robert McCormack, Professor Emeritus with UBC Department of Orthopaedics, with a Hugh Campbell Distinguished Leadership Award in recognition of his exemplary service in establishing and maintaining the league’s health and safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Canadian Football League Appoints Dr. Robert McCormack as Chief Medical Officer

The Canadian Football League (CFL) recently appointed Dr. Bob McCormack and Dr. Dhiren Naidu as its Chief Medical Officers.

McCormack and Naidu will lead a CFL Medical Committee comprised of top health professionals and executives from the league and its clubs.
